G-LAND ...   Don't think it could have been any more fun than it was for the size of swell wrapping around the point today.  Ultra clean and crisp, great winds, about 6-8 foot faces on the better sets and just pure fun.  Kongs, Fan Palms, the Ledge, Moneytrees, the Fang, and Inside Launching Pad all getting sets in there and one of those days, if you can imagine where you'd migrate from section to section....up and down the reef....wanting to sample everything.  It's quiet out here and that helps out with it all.

So monkey stories....Putu has befriended a little guy he's dubbed Tole.  When he calls out "Le Le Le"  here comes the little guys right up to him.  So today i was sitting on the top of the steps into the bar area and he trotted right up to my feet, checking out if i had any more bread.  No bread left so after a few little squeaks, he disappeared.   I had to get him back over so i grabbed a couple slices of bread and called out  "Le Le Le"  and here he came.  Sitting right by my side and so mellow that i was amazed by his calm, i started talking to him.  Hey little guy, you want some bread?  One little squeak answered my question so i passed over a little chunk and he gently took it from my hand, but all the while he held my hand with his free one.  "Was that good?"   2  squeaks to answer my question, like he was saying  "uhhh-huhhhhhhhh."    You want another one?   1 squeak and that was it.  This is a really cool little guy that i can only hope he's gonna be a start to a new era with the monkeys.  The other rebel crew thieves are mellowing out, but that's because our solution now is to launch bottle rockets in their direction and THEY SPLIT!!!
