G-LAND ... One of those days where i didn't go out front that many times. Didn't even think about surfing, but there was still some surf happening way upreef. Kongs and Fan Palms the staple from my 2 short looks. And also from what everyone was saying. But i did see a couple nice one's peeling off through upper Moneytrees at sunset. Not one person down there cause it just wasn't where you'd sit to wait for a wave. 6-8 foot faces and pretty clean most of the day. Offshore's blowing, but maybe a little bit of S wind crossing up the surf at times, but it didn't look too bad.
So this morning was ultra smooth and clean. Probably would have been a great day at Green Bowls, but i didn't get any word from anyone having a go over there.
We got a new policy happening now. Wanasari 4, our Grajagan boat is gonna be a resident vessel here now. Ropik and Nur on for a week, swapping with Herman and Tooki for the next. So the idea is we'll be able to use it whenever we want. It's on stand-by, so Pulau Merah, Reverse G, the South Coast, or whatevers...even Grajagan Rivermouth can be ventured to at a whim. Truth is that with how consistent G-Land has been this season...really in its history as a whole...it's tough to go anywhere else. But shoulder season is more likely to give us the chance to venture. And we're coming into it pretty soon. Another 6 weeks or so and the transition could be on.
I'm back to Bali tomorrow so no more reports until i return!!!
MOST IMPORTANTLY...BRING SOME RUBBER.
