September 7th 2010

G-LAND .... yeah, big numbers.  58 guests came in this morning, the most for the 2010 season so far and probably ever in the history of Bobby's.  So we're at 77 guests.  The other camps are loading up too and I just hope that this supposed swell coming in....does COME IN and it is a consistent swell.  My universal request is a simple one and I'm saying it aloud too.  But simple things tend to be avoided by many an instead the complex "dramatic" alternatives are chosen.

PLEASE NO FIGHTS PLEASE

Surf was small in the morning...maybe just a little bigger than the past few days, but the same essentially.  About head high  at Money Trees and running down the reef real fast.  Kongs would be a little better on the form, but soft.

BUT ... a little something new came in by about 2.  And by sunset, there were some overhead sets lining up at Moneys.  Kongs was picking up even more making tomorrow feel promising.

Motha fricka...Rocky, the largest biawak (monitor lizard) was out back at noon feeding on a strung-up mackarel carcass.  HE IS MASSIVE!!!  Much thicker than I remember from last season.  They truly are from another time...very geologically far from now.  It's really enjoyable to sit out back and watch the animals.
