G-LAND ... Yeah, this morning looked much better, more promising right from the days start. The ocean surface had smoothed out from yesterday's lumps n bumps and it wasn't even 8 o'clock when the winds started to show some good direction. By 9 o'clock is was straight offshore and looking real nice out front. Launching Pad had collected everyone hopes and Moneytrees was empty for most of the day. Once the tide dropped out of the Pad/Speedies session, guys slowly made their move and got some.
It was still solid, easily 2-3 times overhead and clean conditions. Speedies didn't really set up too well today. There definitely were a few pipeliners running the reef, but mostly it was a Launching Pad ride. Moneytrees seemed to be a lot more consistent and some of them running the reef nicely. I even saw a few higher tide Ledge sets that were pretty enticing, but not enough. 20's was also claimed to be really fun and i can easily believe it. With the swell calming down from yesterday and the size dropping a bit, it would've actually been real good fun!!!
Everyone is stoked and already out-of-commission by 8:30 tonight. Hopeful thoughts for tomorrow would probably get them horizontal pretty quickly too.
