September 3rd 2011

Bit of confusion yesterday in the reports, I accidently dated the 2nd as the 3rd... so here is the ACTUAL 3rd... and I have renamed the previous '3rd' to the 2nd as it should be.

G-Land looked and sounded very small as I walked down to the beach before breakfast, and the tide was all the way out. But after watching it for awhile, I seen plenty of nice looking waves at Kongs and Fan Palms in the 3ft range. Looked super fun. After breakfast I was out there by 8:30am and it WAS super fun. 2-3ft with the odd slightly bigger, low tide coming up through mid, light offshore and super rippable. Had one of my funnest small wave sessions out there in quite some time. At the start it was just me and Simon Law out there taking our pick, and then maybe 3 other blokes in the end. It did get busy towards lunch time I heard...

Water was quite chilly up at Kongs, I was just right in my 2mm steamer. Tomorrow Michael Narchi is coming back to camp, he's my side-kick surf guide, so I'm sure he'll be happy to rejoin with the jungle atmosphere.
