G-LAND ... Sets wrapping around the point must have begun in the middle of last night.  It was one of those mornings when once you wake up to the new day, your eyes still shut, but your awareness keen enough to focus onto the roaring sound of surf...you know there are some waves.  And so a new swell started to show itself and the day was looking promising by all the atmospheric signs hanging over Grajagan Bay.

There was a new load of guests coming in and a decent number heading back to Bali.  We're still decently full with 58 in camp.  So all was situated by 10 o'clock, and the 6-10 foot faces that were showing at 6 in the morning, pushed up to double overhead plus once by 'situated time.'   The winds never went good today.  Pretty moderate S wind on most of time until the sun got closer to the horizon and then a smooth glass-off session was the closest we got to getting the better form in the surf.

Money Trees all day long and a little short window of Launching Pad into Speedies.  The Ledge was working again.  But it was a  Money Trees day.  Some sets were standing up solid enough to make a few drops real challenging right up on the main peak.  The bump from the S wind...and really that it was a S wind, kept it from holding form well and barreling.  For sure some barrels yesterday, but i'm more writing about the kind of lining up barrels that reel down the reef for many many meters.    We weren't getting that.  Just 1 element missing...the proper wind.

And a few groups made it down into the Bay...surfing 20's in the morning...Tigertracks midday...and 20's at sunset time.  For sure it was head high and that was the general word from the one's that got it.  20's was lining up well and not getting the bump and the S wind that G-Land proper was getting.

Let's see what the swell does tomorrow.  Got a good feeling about it...
