G-Land was really sloppy looking early. 2ft sets (about shoulder high) and glassy, with a real low tide, and no particularly great rides coming across the reef, it was the perfect conditions to leave back to Bali for a few days. And so about 9am I took the fast boat across the Java-Bali strait. Within 2 and a half hours I was in German Beach in Tuban. The boat ride was fantastic. Wind not too strong, small swell, sunny, plenty of guests even got to work on their tan, while others choose to sit in the cabin and be shaded.

Judging from the charts, the waves were to come up fractionally through the day, so I'm sure as the tide filled in and the offshore came up, Fan Palm would have provided a few nice rides along with Kongs.

Tomorrow I must do some stuff for my visa extension, hence the quick trip to Bali, but I'll be back on the next boat to give some detailed reports again! Not much to be reporting on until about October 3rd by the looks of things, it would appear the swell won't get over head high until then.
