G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp has a whiteboard in the restaurant upon which every morning I make a surf forecast. Today was one of very few that I wrote 'light southerly' for the afternoon wind. And so it was. I also gave it a 2 out of 10 epic factor rating. And so it was. 3-4ft, wobbly, no good trades, and low tide most of the day... Rest Day!

A bunch of people still had a go at the G-Land Surf, and some reported getting super fun walls up the Kongs end. My shoulders really enjoyed the all day break.

So a pretty crappy start to the September Sessions at G-Land today. But the next swell in a few days with full moon tides could provide some nice waves.

Sometimes I write up activities for guests to do if the surf is small. Well here is one activity I do not recommend: Last night a group of 4 guests got rather drunk amongst themselves, and ended up having a race to the Kongs fishing village - in the nude! Only one of them made it, although another guy succeeded in getting a nice bamboo slash across his cheek and annihilating his toe. Forget reef cuts, its the night time nude run to Kongs that ya gotta watch out for!
