Amen to the good lord, we finally have a clean crisp swell in G-Land again! Not as clean and as crisp as it can get, but with barely any current through the high tide, and some nice barrels on offer through Money Trees and Launching Pads and Speedies, it just made life seem that much better.
G-Land Surf was about 3-4ft early in the morning on the low tide, then later in the morning there were some 5ft sets, and by the afternoon there was some sets in the 6ft range even! No shortage of swell in September. I went back for another surf at low tide but it was a bit wobbly. One thing I've noticed this past month or 2, is that as the day wears by, the wind seems to clock a bit more South, and the waves get a bit more wobblier. When normally in G-Land I have come to expect over the years the complete opposite. As in South winds earlier in the morning going more Southeast late in the day. Strange.
G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp had a full boat leave this morning back to Bali. About 38 left and 19 came, yet the numbers are still pretty full in camp with over 50 people, although other camps still quiet, so the surf was very uncrowded today, it was surprising!
