G-LAND ...   What happens when your perception of an event is way off from the reality that everyone else watching perceives?  Julie BORN said she got barreled today, not only on a Tigertracks left but deep enough to scare her into a flying, reverse swan-dive off the tail of our 9 foot 8 inch longboard.  Is it possible?  Or is she telling stories of the magnitude like a Speedies to Chickens ride, which happens to be 1 kilometer?     Fortunately for her, no one was watching so we'll have to believe it's true.  She was just here on my shoulder but decided to abort here cameo guest writer appointment.  All the same, Tigertracks did have some bowling tubes today, not sure if the left had any, but for sure i am about there being some on the right-hander.  And plenty more tubes happening along the point up at G-Land.  Mainly upreef from Moneytrees although Money's did have a few nice sets running the section.  But the Ledge, Fan Palms, and Kongs all lining up nicely.

Beautiful mornings the past 2 days once again!  Really strong winds blowing offshore from early in the AM and even though the swell forecast shows a 4 foot swell at 14 seconds today, it was double overhead on the sets.  Gotta appreciate the swell magnifying capacity of Plengkung.  Double overhead plus yesterday.  I'm just remembering a few scenarios from earlier on this season when the forecast showed 2 days of swell, fading into nothingness BUT it stayed double overhead plus for 7 days straight.  No one is able to chase these situations since it don't exist on the computer screen, but it sure does exist in front of our view out here.

Last report i wrote "we’re all eating dinner together at the long table and i envision us losing 1 table by next trip."  WRONG...we had a special trip come in with 10 people so we added 2 tables, but happily enough, we're all at 1 long table still.  No trip coming in tomorrow and 6 going out so we'll be at 18 guests.  It's pretty much coming to the season's end.  We'll be open until the 24th of November for sure.  After that, a skeleton crew safe-keeping the camp and empty jewels running along the point all day long for the intrepid.
