G-LAND ...   How is it when you first sight the ocean in the AM and it's brightly lit with the warm tones of low-angle light, all shades of blues and greens radiating from the sea, deep blues in the sky contrasted by vivid white clouds hanging over the volcanoes, and offshore's ripping water off the lips of crisp, groomed lines running the reef?  Is beautiful, right?  And then add to it a subtly building swell through the day and it would be wrong to want more.  8-10 foot faces and everything working.  Maybe you could ask for bigger numbers than 8 and 10, but it was such a fun looking day that all was good.  There was such a nice rippled texture on the wave faces today that i found myself mind surfing a lot.

Moneytrees and Inside Launching Pad were lining up some real fast speed tracks.  If you were up for it, ready to twist on the gas from the 1st moment, then you'd be getting a good one.  Fan Palms and Kongs easily more casual on the approach and actually breaking long and clean.  I'd even seen a crew heading down to Tigertracks from the other camp, realizing that a chest high session with only their crew was gonna be the situation; probably super fun too.

New sighting today for me.  As i came around the corner where we order our food, heading towards the back, i involuntarily stopped moving when i'd seen the Lutungs (black monkeys) and the Macaques sitting together by the large tree beside the temple.  Truly in amazement from this sight, i tried to slowly move towards them just to get a better feeling from what was going on.  Naturally the Lutungs spread out and headed for the trees.  The Macaques, seeing plates in my hand did the opposite, coming towards me and then realizing no food was on them, went away.  It's amazing how different these 2 species of monkeys are from each other in character and really everything they do.
