G-LAND ... Another attempt at the south coast since the obvious reason would be that the swell is down. But also it's just nice to feel such a radical difference in atmosphere. It's a strange experience to feel a contrast from camp life to jungle preserve. Strange since we are situated in such a wild and relatively undisturbed environment, yet the camp can feel like a city when the comparison is made to anywhere on the south coast.
Foggy morning...more than yesterday and so i had to make the call and abandon all attempts today. With the water chilling down a bit and the air temp rising up...the fog is gonna be an issue. I'm already situated to try again tomorrow morning and hopefully it'll work out smooth.
So the surf was about head high...even a few random larger 2-3 wave sets...which is normal for here. Kongs and Fan Palms really the mainstay for catching regular waves. A couple guys were down trying Money Trees, but that didn't look to interesting at all. Good winds today...in fact real beautiful coniditions to receive a swell. It's coming...something always comes. Just gotta be patient.
