G-LAND   ...   Ultra smooth and glassy as we carved around Tanjung Blambangan early this morning.  Buzy was in a race with Joyo's boat and took the inside line around Kongs' outer reef with the throttles pushing the Wanasari III at 37 knots.  He said full-throttle wasn't hit yet either.  We were lightly loaded up this morning and he was loving the amp from the challenge.  There's an alleged plan for a new boat next season (or some season coming soon), upgrading the Bali boat which is a 15-meter, 250 HP thruster to a 17-meter, 250 HP quad figuring a 1.5 hour crossing in conditions that take us 2 hours now.  I'd love to cross on a hydrofoil!!!

And a lightly loaded camp when i came in.  We're for sure gonna taper off in guests until the season's end, which right now is the 25th of November.  I'm imagining 2 tables max at dinner from looking at the reservation book.  Now we're using about 10 tables.

So just like my last trip back into the camp after being away somewhere else, the day i come back in is the same day the wind goes onshore.  The guys in camp have been telling me that the past week was really fun and great winds.  It didn't start off that way today though.  When we first pulled up in the Gerandong, it was small but clean and glassy.  Actually looked really fun, but by 9:30, the W west started up and by noon, the chance of it going offshore wasn't worth much.  But still, everyone that paddled out seemed to enjoy what was coming through.  About head high and not really too sectiony or fast considering the 10-15 knot winds.  The forecast looks to be calling onshores for the next few days and the last time it did, it was right on.  If the swell was up, then a trip over to the east coast would be perfect.
