G-Land has actually been the place to be lately with all this rain through Bali, Java and most of Indonesia. While it was flooding in the Bounty club 2 nights ago and all through Kuta, it only had one reasonable downpour in G-Land that didn't do any flooding. And then all day today and yesterday was no rain, as well as the whole week before. And with all these clean winds come back in and nice conditions, smaller swells that are still overhead in G-Land, it is a great choice to be late season right now.

Today the swell had eased somewhat from yesterday, but still solid 3ft sets (6ft on the faces) with the odd sneaker that was a bit bigger. Conditions were super clean from mid morning onwards. A light offshore breeze made for pleasant waves up at Kongs. Kongs was my pick of the bunch today, and I surfed it twice. People were surfing Money Trees but it was quite fast and sectiony, and guest Robin broke his board getting pinched in a small tube.

Kongs was consistent head high sets and there was some really high quality walls. If anyone is reading this from New Zealand, picture the Taranaki left hand points going off on a nice summer swell, light offshore, super warm, head high, hitting the reef really well. Or even Raglan on a fun day. Despite being a 'small day' there was pumping waves out there! Got some rides that were so long, with so many turns performed, it was great!
