It was good to notice a change from yesterday in the G-Land Surf conditions early this morning. It wasn't drastic enough to run back and get my board, but instead just gave me thoughts that things are moving in the positive direction.
The surf picked up at G-Land from 2-3 feet at dawn reaching solid 3 feet with occasional 4 footers by dusk. Watching a few sets run down the reef through Speedies (not surfable but indicating the right swell direction) gave me some faith for the 19th's forecast. Money Trees for sure came alive as the day transpired...Kongs was the standard choice for most of the day. I didn't overhear any guests telling barrel stories at sunset or dinner, but I'll give it another day or two.
The wind was light onshore early morning and a then little schizophrenic throughout the day...a few offshore gusts afternoon gave me that same feeling during my early morning check. Hopefully the right wind and swell conditions come together tomorrow and I seriously may have to RUN back at some point to grab my board.
It's quiet here at Bobby's G-Land Surf Camp. In fact it's quiet throughout all 3 camps. We got a good group of guests and if the waves do come, I think they'll continue to be a good group of guys to surf with!
