Jarred made it onto the fast-boat back to Bali this morning. Giving it some thought, he's probably at the top of the list...a list of people and the number of days spent out here in any one season. GOOD FOR YOU JARRED!!! After 6 months at G-Land, I'd imagine he'll have some mixed feelings about leaving, but he seemed ready this morning. Jalan Legian is there waiting for him. As for me, all I can say is thanks for the opportunity bro. I'm nowhere close to having mixed feelings about being here...even with the surf conditions being what they were on my first day.
Today we had onshore winds and small, weak surf in the 2-3ft. range. It was a Kongs day, but the guests at G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp that did surf all seemed content to be in the water. I did see someone get a couple hundred yard ride at Money Trees, but that may have been the one and only. Just one of those days in the G-Land Surf. Perfect day instead to get lost on a jungle walk or zone-out in the caves besides Pancur. If you ever want to meet a nomadic Indonesian, that's one of their sanctuaries along their perpetual walks.
No surfing for me today. Instead I'll be waiting for and hoping that sunday the 19th's prediction will materialize. Could possibly be a quality day. And until then, I'll be resting and trying to kick-out the staph that's been living in me for over 2 months. If anyone knows of a simple yet powerful remedy, let me know.
