G-LAND ...   It was the hottest day in my pasty memory of this season.  But really it actually may have been the hottest day ever in my Plengkung experience.  And it was undeniable how well connected a hot, evaporative day is with a 100% humidity at night.  We had a decent rain after the New Moon Gandrung Party, actually well after the Party had packed up and moved out across the jungle track it rained.  It was about a week ago that the winds shifted properly onto shore for a couple days, then back again to trade route directions.  And now we've had a couple days of rain, last nights being pretty solid.  I gotta head back to Bali today, it's the 16th now, out the jungle track and i've got the feeling the knobbies on my moto will love the mud.   I'll be back on the next trip if all is smooth.

The surf was small in the morning, changing it's tune by midday and pushing up to 8-10 foot faces for the rest.  Ultra-clean, fast fast fast, and almost as hollow as The Chandelier Tree.   But super fast!!!   With the numbers out here being low, all 3 camps included, i'd seen plenty vacant swaths along the line-up.  I didn't surf cause my ankle got redone a little bit about 4 days ago and surfing on it has felt sketchy.  Plus Dave brought over this skateboard that's got a funky front truck, letting you pump and carve on it.  That started effing up my ankle at first.  But the surf looked real fun nonetheless.

RECONNECT IN A FEW DAYS...
