G-LAND ... So we've been chilled down by the cooling breeze of onshores but wouldn't it have been nice to roast in the offshores. We received signs of a new swell from the day's start, but unlike the forecast, it didn't build through the day. 6-8 foot faces and sometimes the rare 10 footers that looked alright, even with the winds prematurely pushing the lips down towards the reef. If you were a rodeo rippa', plenty of airs could've been on call today, but most everyone was just focused on negotiating the sections and putting their efforts on gettin down the line.
Inside Launching Pad looked best to me. Plenty of peaks filtering into there and plenty of them went unridden. Moneytrees was alright. At that size and with the onshore push, too many unmakeable sections. But every so rarely did one come through that ran the reef nicely. Fan Palms and Kongs too, but i didn't really look up there too much. It must've been alright or better than alright cause most everyone was hanging up there. But Inside Pad was the call. Only 1 guy out...Tom "the Creature" lathered up and protected with his anti-gamma ray outfit got the long hooters that no one else seemed to have any awareness of.
