G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp had 11 people leave and 7 arrive. Of the 7, Michael Narchi arrived in camp, and I will be training him during my final 6 days, as he will be taking over as surf guide for the rest of the season. He has surfed G-Land many times in the past, shapes his own boards, and is often seen out in big G-Land waves riding his 5'9 twin fin! I think he's going to make a good surf guide, and he will add a good style to the job here.
G-Land Surf was a bit bigger today, plenty of 4-5ft sets with the odd 6ft set. There was alot of sets up Fan Palm, some on the Ledge, and on the higher tide right through Money Trees. The wind was not perfect like yesterday, it was variable early, then came a pretty good SE offshore which started tending South later.
I surfed Tigertracks early afternoon with a bunch of our guests, it was nice to surf, solid head height, and doubling up a bit too. I chose this break because my shoulders were so worn out from surfing Money 'Trees yesterday. The water so so warm down there I almost got too hot in boardies! While the main break is a bit colder where in just boardies its almost a touch cool.
