G-LAND ...

very very small surf both of these days...took out my 9'2" today and it carried me down a few waves well enough to enjoy being out there

I spent a lot of both days trying to befriend the monkeys...they've been goin' overly aggro again and any positive connection is better than it being opposite of such.  Got a young one to take food outta my hand a few times and another real young one was comfortably lying down on his belly, his chin resting in the pocket of his clenched thumb, copying my eye gestures that i was givin' him.

There was 1 that got me heated up a few days ago though.  Came out of my room in the early morning to turn off the water.   The macaques love to turn on the water full flow and just let it go.  If they're thirsty, they'll just open the valve up a little and sip from it.  They KNOW the difference.  So he...and it was a he...took my towel, put it in the flowing water and then dragged if off through the soil for about 25 feet.  When i came out of my room, that's where he was...25 feet away, sitting on my towel, chewing it and caressing his big balls on his new seat.  I went after him and he knew i was in full charge.  The switched had been flipped within me and he sensed it.  This was one of the older adolescent males that are pretty brave and can hold their ground well enough.  He didn't even try and show me his fangs...just gone into the barbed bamboo.
