G-LAND ... it's all coming towards the end!!! Bobby came into camp this morning which roots the movement that we'll be closing up camp soon. He went through the ceremonial rituals to give thanks for what has been and what will come, then sat down with all the staff to talk about the same...what was and what will be.
Transport day and from 0 in and 6 out, there's only 3 guests left. It's making me real hopeful for some type of swell increase. Not sure how many are at Raymond's and Joyo's (not many for sure), but a surf with quality, uncrowded G-LAND would be appreciated like drinking water. It's still a possible since the 12th will likely be my last day here. But time will tell!!!
Surf was NOT! The crew of Dutchies that left today were the only one's in the water and that was early morning. The rest of the day didn't get any better for surfing. We were given a beautiful day though. Everything got a chance to dry out...except for the mud! Cole went for a walk around the tip and came back with an Island Trevally, which hopefully he'll share with us tomorrow at lunch.
The feeling in the camp is interestingly different. With so many unfilled seats and empty beds, the size of the camp is more noticeable. It's massive and like a sanctuary for humans in this jungle. This would be an extremely difficult natural environment to live...survive in!
