Over time, everyone develops their own reliable line-up markers at G-Land and I visited two old, almost forgotten friends... gebang kembar.  It's a such a fun peak that is undoubtedly reliable.  I didn't surf until 3 today...looked at it a few times earlier on, but took one of those long, unexpected midday sleeps again. And the rest was so well used up by the non-stop wave riding that transpired from my first wave until after sunset.  Thinking back, my first wave was amazingly long.  "That wave went for so long" kept resonating in my thoughts on the 15-minute paddle back up.  WOW!!!

The conditions were very similar to yesterday, but with a little more size...a little more power.  Yesterday's surf wasn't lined-up off of today's marker, so this isn't a comparison...but today was long-walled, smooth-faced, carvable, driftable, floatable, haaakackable, trimable, and all around enjoyable!!!  Kongs just overhead with those random larger surprises is a great place to spend some time.  This place...this reef's character range is so dynamic, you can't or shouldn't really try and compare it with other waves.  Like the story... "it's like Pipe" and it also happens to be right down the beach from "my" house in Oz or Peru.  You'll just set yourself up for disappointment or an argument.

Just come here or come back here.  Trust me when I write this, I am NOT advocating crowds or promoting.  In fact, I believe it's better to come alone or with just under 1/2 a handful.  You won't be alone here anyways.  Come with respect, courtesy, and the ability to look both ways before crossing the road.  To be completely immersed in this beautiful place is easy... in fact Plengkung is inherently commanding of it.  Walk across the reef barefoot, it'll command you to slow down and meditate on what's immediately in front of you.  Spend some time at Kacangan...the local tribe at 2nd point...and they may unintentionally help you simplify your approach back home.  Take a walk at night, you'll for sure be reminded of some deep primal feelings.

ENJOY...
