My goodness!!!  Almost an exact replay of yesterday went down today.  The main differences were: surf backed off a bit and an elaborate ceremonial sacrifice/offering took place.  But the call regarding the fire blazing anew was the same....equally as shocking the 2nd time coming.  I still didn't surf! 9 days straight which, of course, is a lot if your here at G-Land.

G-Land had 3 to 5 foot faces maximum and pretty rare on the sets.  The wind was alright today since it switched around constantly, but by 3, it was better and cleaned up the wave face nicely.  I never really had a good, long look at the surf from 11:00 on, but I'm sure a few fun one's came through up at Kongs.

I'm thoroughly exhausted...basically everyone that was running the fire front today is.  They're in fact all sleeping but Blacky.

It was a day of contrast considering the mania from a blazing fire closing in and the meditative focus of a ritualistic sacrifice.  It was like a sub-speciation event went down today.  Homo sapiens sapiens physicus were running around primaly and Homo sapiens sapiens metaphysicus were tapping into the collective existence....both beside each other and at the same time.

Today had a few new firsts for me.  Watched a goat and a young buffalo get their neck's sliced...but not completely off...with a large blade, fought a fire with a "jet stream" (18 liters on your back and a hand-pump compression gun), stopped being aware of my infected back,  didn't surf for 9 days straight, committed to today being my last day here, and I wore shoes.

I'll try and load some photos up soon.  All's good and safe right now.  The Rangers and Firefighters are all sitting right outside of the computer room now, waiting to go for a check in about 1 hour.  Like I wrote last night... "Bobby's G-Land Surf Camp is still here for you."

ENJOY...
