G-LAND ... The last day of May and we had a major turn over of guests. 24 going out and 33 coming in. And even though we're prepared for big numbers, it's always tough, especially when it's raining. 3 days in a row of it and the timing was interesting to me. The day before the rains came back, I was talking to someone about how we've finally settled into MUSIM GUGUR (the season of fall). The jungle was dry...so were my pillow and sheets...the offshores have kicked in real well, and the leaves have begun to fall on the deciduous trees. But BANG!!! The rain has come back. I'm pretty sure it's just another quick shift and will go back to what it just was.
Surf was maybe getting up to head high max, but mostly staying around chest high or so and real clean. The offshores never really kicked in today...yup...back to my thought above. No waveriding for me today, but the guys that headed out seemed happy about it. Everyone is putting their thoughts on this potential swell coming in on the 3rd. Looks like it could be real nice. The numbers at best are reading 9.25 foot swell from 202 degrees at 15 seconds. That swell last season in July....July 14-15 was 12.5 foot swell from 200 degrees at 16 seconds. Just for a comparison. I'm even getting loaded up with hope!!!
