G-LAND ...

May 27.
Sitting down in the chair right now really strugglin' to remember what went on this day.  Sorry...cannot remember anything.       ....YUP....        Pigo just walked in and indirectly reminded me why I can grab any memories from that day.  And why he's feeling better than yesterday.  That was a late night...up til about just before the rising sun...talking story and drinking drinks.

MAY 28.
Transport day and following the switch-over of guests coming in/out, I was ready to sleep all day.  Pigo helped out with that memory.  The surf didn't look to be happening at all.  Maybe the occasional head-high wave up reef and that wasn't enticing me or most everyone in camp.  A few of the new guests were feeling it though.  And I'm sure they enjoyed themselves since it's almost always better once you get into the water.

We've STILL been receiving beautiful offshores.  Instead of laying down all day to recharge from the minimal sleep the night before...Fabio once again got me energized and enticed for a dive.  And it was worth it.   We didn't come back with hefty fish like from our hunt on the 26th, but what we did come back with was real tasty meat.  2 snappers and 1 blue-fin trevally...Jason lined up another blue-fin trevally as well.

But the scene that's sticking in my mind for life is beaching the cukung at one of the rivermouths and realizing the potential for going MIA from here and staying somewhere out there.  I'm sure if I really tried to paint a picture with words, I could...but that seems more of a strain right now.  Simply put though...the ability to EASILY tap into a much more intense awareness of this peninsula's natural beauty exists out there.
