G-LAND ...

One more step downwards in the decreasing swell and it would have been real difficult to catch a wave. Every so rarely...IT GETS SMALL!!! So it was a great day to just enjoy being in the jungle. I think most of the crew here did pretty well handling the past 3 days of weak surf. The camp is luxurious in my opinion, and so it's pretty easy to get involved in something on these small days. And then those that want to get involved with the natural aspect of things...the forest or the reef ... have that option too. I went for a dive and came back refreshed way beyond normal. Maybe it was because not one person was in the water, so that isolation was appreciated. I got to see a solid green turtle and a blue-spotted ray. Decent amount of fish too. Came back in with 1 blue-fin trevally and it's juicing up in the fridge for sashimi tomorrow.

A lot of hopefuls had their hopes smashed. The forecast showed a new swell coming in today and it didn't really produce the surf the numbers claimed. But there was a little bump for sure in the size. And the winds were blowing stiff offshore from early on...somewhere around 6-7 AM.
Surf was coming down into Money Trees today, about a little overhead and Kongs picking up a bit more size. We got 50 guests in camp now after this mornings transport and few more handfuls from the other camps. With the swell not being to consistent and almost everyone surfing today...well...you can imagine what the scenario was like.
AND SO...another batch of hopefuls are born tonight, hoping that something nice comes to us in the morning.
