G-LAND ... This was the day that broke the trend of us being teased by the GOOD WINDS the past few days. All day offshore's today and I got the feeling like it was G-LAND once again. The waves are just all the better when they get groomed smooth and clean...pressed back out to sea and kept from breaking to early. Then it gets hollow.
The swell was on the decrease from yesterday, but early in the day was still breaking in the 10 foot face range. Kongs was bigger for sure. But Ledge/Moneys...if patience could be asserted...was breaking real nice all day long. Like I wrote in the last sentence of the 1st paragraph...I saw a lot of tube riding today. Way more than the past few days.
Real good crew of surfers in the water too. The numbers have been low enough for everyone to keep up the etiquette you could only hope for when it's packed. 30 here...5 or 6 down there...a few up the track...not many people in the water at all.
Hopefully everyone is giving thanks right now. Real good fun today!!!
