G-LAND ... I'd been watching Moneytrees break consistently in the first part of the day. WOW, there were some great looking waves running the reef and it was empty. The few guys that went for an early morning surf sat on Fan Palms and Kongs and it was still nice-looking up there, but Moneys was on. Transport day, otherwise i would've been out there. By the time everything was sorted out with the 3 new guests...yup, i didn't forget to put another digit in front of or behind the 3....that's what it is!!! So by the time they were situated, it was maybe 9:30 and i was in the water not that long after that. But i was only lucky enough to get 1 wave down at Moneys. It just went dormant after that. Maybe 3 sets came through there throughout the rest of the day. But high tide Ledge, Fan Palms, and Kongs were so much fun. 10 foot sets on the nice ones and so clean. Even a few waves that would load up and barrel. But many more than a few that went for hundreds and hundreds of yards. It was lully, but a few distinct pulses that would turn the sitting session into a non-stop surf-paddle-surf.....
So the studio (cinema) is done. They're just finishing the paint on the outside, but the inside is all done. They did a great job and the picture and sound is way more prime than you'd expect, even back in civilized domains. For the jungle, it's Hollywood!!!
