G-LAND ... And back to abnormal looking G-Land in the early AM. Yup...dawn offshores and it's just so easy to get used to it being this way. I was just looking at some photos from that last Speedies swell...yeah STILL gonna post up some photos one day....but the lighting on the shots just doesn't look anything like what we normally see. 6:30 AM photos with that low angle sun just filling in every curve and shape of the scene. Some beautiful looking photos...if you can imagine....hahahah.
They're coming...i'll get them up for sure.
So the swell hasn't really backed off less than 8-10 foot faces on both the 25th and 26th and we've been getting some fun waves from Moneytrees on up through Kongs. If you wanted to really test your luck, Inside Launching Pad did have a few waves happening, but it was really difficult to sit down there in the calm, while sets would run down the reef in clear view. There's been some dedicated crew here going down to Tigertracks everyday and coming back real happy. The Russians are still around but for the most part, it's all been good.
So from my seat here in the computer room, i got this corner view of the end seat that's just beside the whiteboard. Kyle is sitting in it eating his breakfast and he just got charged by Franky...the lead punk monkey. Kyle was on it...no fear, no lag response at all. He stood up, clapped his hands together and then grabbed a chair and proceeding to wield it like a lion tamer would in the circus. Franky took off empty handed. He'll be back for sure, but every scenario that leaves him empty handed when he's on ambush patrol is good!!!
