G-LAND ... I'm starting to feel the need to write about something entirely different than "beautiful offshores at dawn and fun waves getting up to double overhead on the good sets...always crisp and clean." That has been basically the resonating story here for the last 12 days. Some days the size or swell direction changes, but the quality of the wind and the waves have always been so easy to appreciate. Normally the pendulum swings so we'll have to anchor our memories of the run to hold us through whatever the counter-current does. If it actually does swing to something else!!!
So something other than surf...
Camp happenings...we've been renovating the cinema, redoing the entire second floor. We put down a new sub-floor, carpet, walls, roof, acoustic boards, projector, and sound system. It's almost complete, just waiting for the acoustic boards and the sound system, but i see them working on it now from the computer room. The monkeys are still the same, making their ambush attacks on us and with vengeance. I'm not sure why they're so vengeful...or it's just they'll eat until regurgitation, only to eat again...but they're still way too brave. If we were natives and a troop of monkeys were not heeding the warning flashes given to them...the culprit punks and the bull of the troop would be taken to pieces for sure. But fortunately for them, we've remained steadfastly patient. What else??? There's more for sure but nothing comes to mind right now....
And those photos are coming....
