I'm back!! After a 9 day 'holiday' in Bali, I'm all refreshed for another dosage of G-Land Surf. A smooth 2hr fast boat ride had me in the magical G-Land in no time, gotta love that boat! After a big ol' breakfast I went to look at the waves with some of the new guests whom I was giving an Orientation tour, and BOOM! theres some 6-8ft sets bombing through Money Trees, with complete glass conditions.
After some unpacking, the wind slowly came up, although it never gathered quite enough momentum to make the waves really good. In saying that one new guest, Dean from Hawaii, got his best backhand barrel of his life. So just goes to show there were bombs to have. But really it was some solid walls out there with the odd barrel. Current swept through the line-up after the tide started dropping, so all afternoon was hard work.
G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp is now offering a Library service. I have just brought in 42 books from Bali to start off the library, we have fiction books, romance, thriller, murder mystery, cold war, war, and other genres also! Guests can swap a book, or pay a small deposit to borrow one, and get reimbursed upon return of book (or if you keep we use deposit to buy another book). This book system will allow guests to do plenty of reading when the waves are small.
