G-Land didn't quite live up to expectations today, the 5ft @ 12second swell was coming into the reef at mostly 3ft, with the odd 4ft set. The wind was good from 9am onwards on the plus side. Swell angle had gone more south, so on the incoming higher side of mid there was plenty of waves going down towards speedies for awhile, but hardly anyone was actually getting make able barrels. "Better than at home" one guest I heard say.
I didn't even surf today, but my pizza & pancake I had for lunch was just as satisfying I thought! Looks like some honking big swell coming within a week, maybe even enough for the Padang Padang Invitational contest? Either way there's going to be some really solid waves here in the near future...
