G-Land had mysteriously picked up today! Bombie was capping thru the morning, and there was sets in the 6ft range. The quality wasn't the same as the 21, 22, 23rd, but regardless a lot of guests had a lot of fun today. The morning had quite a bit of current but all afternoon that backed off, and the wind was pretty light all day. Glassing off completely in the last hour or 2. Mostly great for turns today, with nicely overhead waves, plenty of sets in the 4-5ft range... A few stories of great barrels had, but not that many. Very uncrowded through the morning, then medium crew during certain times late morning and late arvo. Majority of waves once again at Money Trees.
I went down to Tigertracks with a small crew this afternoon and had a really fun 2 hour surf in 2-3ft rights. This year my shortest board is a 5'9 rather than a 6'0, and it made a good difference down at Tigers today. A lot more speed. Water was so warm down there too, just boardies and tshirt sufficed, and so many waves to be had. Scored.
Tasty as dinner tonight with prawns, and fish, and couton salad (those little square bread things) and rice.. Very tasty.
