At 5:30am I got out of bed super early hoping to walk to the beach, check the G-Land Surf and see Speedies pumping after the swell bump last night. But it was not to be. Still 4-5ft sets coming through Money Trees, but really glassy and not barreling so well, so I didn't surf. Luckily as the morning sickness got worse with a light onshore about 8am, but by 10 or 11am the offshore kicked in and made everything all better.
Although since the swell was easing, by the time it went offshore, the swell was a little smaller, but still a solid 3-4ft and quite nice for the rest of the day. Fan Palms had its moments on the low tide, and then on the incoming tide later in the afternoon there were nice ones at Money Trees, although it was a bit crowded for how inconsistent it was. Yet nowhere near as crowded as what Uluwatu would be right now being peak season and all!
The last 2 days I just surfed my 6'2 Thruster at G-Land, and it went really well. On my bigger boards I've been riding quads and they feel so good, but perhaps on my shortest boards a thruster feels like the go.
