G-Land Surf was a complete mystery this morning. A heavy fog had built and it wasn't till after 8am that waves could be made out. When we could finally see, the swell had picked up to a hearty 4-5ft... plenty of power in some of the waves coming through. Swell still very west, so most of the action was Kongs, Fan Palms and Upper Money Trees. The sets were quite easily head and a half on the bigger ones. Tide was high all morning, the crowd was pretty spread out and pretty mellow for July.
A bunch of guests went to Tigertracks and reported fun waves all morning.
Wind took a little while to come through, but by late morning it was blowing. All afternoon the tide sat pretty damn low. Crew were getting a few good ones through Fan Palms. The water warmed up a bit today, I was in my spring suit both surf's and I could have probably worn less. A few Jellyfish around though, copped some stings. Didn't feel them to much in the surf, but are a bit itchy now. Was nice to get out there today and get some overhead juice anyway!
