G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp had an increase in numbers today with over 20 guests arriving and less than 10 leaving. Included in the arrivals was Harry Nightingale, Bondi lifeguard legend, and a big family of 5 that all surf, the Dad last coming in 1984! Swell was finally on a noticable rise with plenty of solid 3ft sets and then all afternoon was 3-4ft even with the odd bigger sneaker. Offshore was up most of the day. The swell period was quite high so the lines were clean. Was more west than normal so most of the waves were Kongs and Fan Palms.
I didn't get out there myself, but I watched mid afternoon and blokes were getting some howlers through Fan Palms. Was a bit bummed I couldn't surf - I just was too fatigued from all the surfs in Indo the past 3 weeks. So I got a hell massage off Rio (Bamboo Kecil), and had a nap, and took it easy. Don't wanna completely hit the wall. Swell is still building over next couple days and there's no shortage of time out here.
Dinner time now, Pizziolla Steak, and then a new DVD afterwards in the cinema... ciao for now.
