G-Land was fairly tame today.Waves ranging in the 2-4ft range, but very nice up at Kongs in the afternoon. Apparently Tigertracks was a fun 2-3ft this morning also.
On an unfortunate note, a G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp guest twisted his knee on a wave and has ended his Indo surf trip, and also a bodyboarder cut up his back at low tide trying to catch a powerful whitewash in.
I had a great surf in the afternoon at Kongs. The G-Land Surf there was 3-4ft and peeling real well with good sections for big turns. And a backwards current that took you back up the point, so there was no need to paddle back out after getting a wave, the current did all the work! Copped my nose of my 6'0 shortboard into my inside elbow muscle area, it hurt like hell, but not serious injury so just kept surfing, will be sore tomorrow perhaps for the big swell, but the adrenaline of an 8fter should deal to that nicely... maybe 7'8 action tomorrow!!
