G-Land is starting to feel nice and homely for me now, even though the waves are still small, its nice being in such a peaceful environment and having days consumed with eating, sleeping and surfing.

Today the G-Land surf was same same but different. As anyone who has been to G-Land before they can attest that no 2 days are ever the same, however it was still 2-3ft and light offshore. I got out for a surf with my new friend, Hiroshi, from Japan. For most of the 2 hours we were out, it was only us, guess we timed it between 'crowds'. Got loads of fun shoulder height peelers allowing plenty of turns and combo's and it was even soft enough on a bunch of Fan Palms sections to try some aerials.

Tonight it was Patrick from Swedens birthday and he got served up the usual big birthday celebration where all staff (and guests end up joining in) on a musical chirade around the restaurant, tricking lots of guests into thinking it was their own birthday, and finally arriving at Patrick, and he got to blow the candles out and skull back his orange juice/arak drink. Then all the guests got to try some of his amazingly tasty birthday cake that Frodo in the kitchen so expertly makes.

That reminds me, Eckart one of our guests, caught even more fish today. He's been catching huge fish in the 10 - 20kg range and getting the kitchen staff to cook it up and serve as extra tasty fish to go with our meals. Tonight was buffet night which had some great dishes including his 10kg GT, and then I happened to sit at Eckarts table and got to sample some trevally and parrot fish cooked like KFC, and oh my gosh it tasted amazing!! Off to watch a new release DVD in the cinema now... good times 🙂
