G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp Full Moon Gandrung dance party last night still had its effects on me when I woke up just after 7am! Seedily making my way to the beach with a sore throat and a headache, what do I see but pumping 3-5ft waves going down the reef and the offshore had already started to groom it! So after a bowl of porridge and a cup of tea, I got ready and had a small dosage of my SuperPump250 pre-workout drink, and walked up the trail to the G-Land keyhole.

The waves got better and better while I was out, and within another hour there was barrels to be had on every wave basically! Some long sections though, the swell was very south, and there were waves coming through Money Trees, the odd one on Launching Pad, and some lil grinders through speedies. Very perfect hollow waves, I had some great barrels, and I witness some crew get some even sicker deep pits.

After lunch I had a nap, then another surf check revealed a king low tide with hardly anyone out and nice waves running down the reef, so I had to go Round 2. The Ledge had the odd sick one, then I ended up down at Money Trees, which had some insane 5-6ft sets coming through the last hour of light. Got a super long standup barrel through multiple sections on my last wave, blew my mind! Then the next wave landed on my head and blew my leash! Lucky I was wearing my 2mm steamer, gloves, booties and helmet, so getting washed up on the low tide reef shelf wasn't to bad at all. My board didn't even have a scratch thankfully too! All in all, an epic day in the G-Land Surf!
