G-LAND had a little life in it today. From what it was last night and what the forecast was predicting, it was refreshing to see that the forecast was not correct. Early morning at around 6:30 was real bad looking...low tide, small, and onshore. By the time the new guests (half the numbers came in from those going out...just like last trip) settled in, the wind started feeling right and more surf was running the reef with the incoming tide. Money's actually had some nice head high waves peeling off...real clean but real fast. Upreef at Kongs was playful with just over-your-head walls. But come the higher tide and everything tends to go real soft.
I looked at it one more time at around noon and it was full high tide, a few decent looking waves, but seemed to be real inconsistent. After that and I was locked back in the favela working on things that are so easy to lag on over here...like ding repair at the top of the list. So I can't say how it was after noon. The guests seemed to be happy from the later session, but a lot of guests didn't surf which says another thing.
