G-LAND tapered downward in size slowly through the day, starting off with small but fun 4 to 6 foot faces lining up through Money Trees and even pushing down into Inside Launching Pad.  There were a few tight little barrels down there and up at Money's, there were real playful transitions to play on!!!  I wasn't planning on surfing today cause at 1:00, we were going on a little trip.  Felt more like taking out the paddleboard for a short play in the lagoon, but hanging in front solidified the contra.  IT WAS TIME TO GO FOR A QUICK SURF!

Caught one wave and then...if you would believe it, saw Kiki in the water.  "Hey Narchi, take my board...kapan kapan aja."  And so I saw Kiki in the water for the first time and I surfed on one of his shapes for the first time as well.  Tough to have a solid feeling for it considering the waves I caught, but I do believe he's actually got something workable and worth trying again in more proper surf.

So....
Me, Hari, and 10 guests loaded up the gerandong (you know...the single-cylinder, one-wheel drive, mixed metal and wood ute) and headed off towards an adventure unknown.  First stop Sadengan, the savannah with a viewing tower, with the high hopes to watch a some type of large pussy charge out of the jungle and take out a deer or buffalo, or even a peacock.  Then off to Penyu to check out the turtles, but the fork in the road stuck us hard.

The driveshaft key slipped out and thus...no power.  We found a bolt, luckily the right "enough" size, whacked it in there with rock and headed back towards comfort (camp), with the turtles to our backs.   Rolled past Pancur, the old mistress ghost at Parang Ireng, and then Batu Lewang to end up stopped once again just past Tigertracks, shearing apart the steering rod.  For sure we're going nowhere forward in the "trusty, old gerandong!!!"

Walked back into camp at just past the beer session out front and straight into a 2 kilo plate of buffet!!!  And I couldn't hear anything as far as surf goes on our beach walk, so I'm sure it really tapered down to pretty much flat.  Anyone seen how bright Venus or some light in the sky is?  It guided us right back into camp.

One last thought....the crew that went for the mission today, I've already said thanks for your positive, unbending, adventurous attitude and so if you're reading this...THANK YOU once again!!!
