G-LAND ...   BRING SOME RUBBER!!!  Whatever you got but the more of the better.  At least that's the go for now.  End of August and the water is still chilled.  I took the thermometer out yesterday and i think it's broken cause 77 degrees normally feels a lot warmer than it does.  But it's these 10-15 knot offshores that chills things down.

New swell showing right from the day's start and it ended up being a beautiful day at G-Land.  Mainly a Moneytrees day, but there were sets filtering down into Launching Pad with a few random waves running into Speedies 1st section.  The Fang was actually setting up a lot of the time too.  It was the most crowed lineup i've seen for awhile now, mostly because almost everyone was sitting along Moneytrees, but even with the crowd, the etiquette was good enough to keep everyone in a positive head.  No blatant drop-ins from my view and considering we just went through a run of where Moneytrees on downreef was a deadzone, then i'm kinda surprised.

Some speedtracks through Moneys today, a lot of them having at least 1 section that would go hollow and then continue on down all the way.  But you had to be on the gas.  I'd seen plenty of guys lacking the attention of what was happening down the line, letting the wave just build up speed as they were trying a turn (maybe a trick) and get left behind as the wave powered on right past them.  Plenty of times, but that would open up the cherry pickers that were right on the opportunity to finish off what someone else started.

The little friendly monkey named Tole (Le Le Le) that i wrote about a week or so ago, he came up to me today i really wish there was a video of his antics.  He could legitimately defect from his troop and come hang with us.  His nothing like the rest of the monkeys.  In fact the distant opposite of Franky the Fuk.  They both get more food than all the others, but one does it with a smile and the other does it with his fangs and balls!!!

Don't forget ...  BRING SOME RUBBER!!!
