G-Land Surf had plenty of activity on its point today. More so with swells coming in than people surfing. 6am it was firing and no one was out! 7am it was good still, and no body out. Offshore wind was up really early. 5-6ft sets were coming in. The tide was high. Less than a handful of guys at anyone time were out the whole day infact. Although after around 3pm, there was about 10 guys. Weird. Wasn't the best of waves, swell seemed to be coming from the west and the south, and the tide was pretty low all day once it dropped from the early morning high. However there was definitely some nice waves amongst the mix.

A group of surfers went with Blacky in the zodiac to Tigertracks this morning, and then some guys went with Samson in the Grandong on the low tide.. and sounds like there were a few nice ones here and there.

When I surfed late in the day, It was mostly Ledge then Money Trees. I managed to find one bomb that gave me a big stand-up tube, and then another deep tube through the Fang which spat me out into the channel. Stoked! Playing around with using 2 gopro's at once.. on the wrist and on the nose of the board. Also playing with using 720p 60fps mode, so extra high quality there, but not so much vertical resolution to capture as much height in the frame.

Don't believe me about good waves at 6am? Check out the photo's below Dave Thomas took...
