G-Land still had macking sets this morning, but we could see this morning that it was a little tamer. Solid 6-8ft sets were through the day, with the odd 10ft set sneaking its way in as well!
I had a surf at 20/20's at lunch time on the low tide, there were some super fun 2ft waves down there... considerably smaller than yesterdays 3ft+ conditions. A few crew went to Tigertracks and reported it being good late morning then as the swell pushed through the afternoon it was closing out. A handful of guys surfed Money Trees in the early afternoon, and most of them were frothing on how good waves they got. One guest got one of the best barrels of his life, and was sporting the G-Land grin for the rest of the day.
After some tasty G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp Tempe Sandwiches and Fruit, I went for a surf out at Money Trees. Much more people than last night having a go, about 20 guys out, and I seemed to cop almost every 8ft+ set on the head, getting absolutely obliterated on the inside as they unloaded on my head. But caught some fun rides too, was playing around on my 7'8 again.
Tomorrow is Indonesia's Independence Day. We will be having a fun range of activities/contests going on, such as Tug of War, Tree climbing (we've built a fake tree), and other entertaining things. Prizes include free stay in camp, bintangs, tshirts and other things too.
