G-Land on April 28th 2010

G-Land started out pretty slow today.  The swell continued to back off from yesterday and with the N wind already blowing early morning, it was tough to get motivated  for a surf.  Waves were around 4-6 foot faces, a little bumpy and sectiony, and inconsistent in the A.M..

But come noon the winds swung through the W and continued to go SSE, giving us some nice surface conditions that worked well with the pulse of new swell, the majority of which was focusing on Kongs.  Lower Moneys had a few nice sets, but the swell really stayed up on top at Kongs.

Some really long waves running down the reef, but pretty difficult to get that good one.  We have 71 guests, and the other camps (including the newly operating Tiger Camp) are fairly loaded up as well.   So....yeah....tough to get a good one.

Purnama (full moon) tonight so big party.  Even bigger since it's Harry's 60th birthday as well.  Swell is supposed to increase through tomorrow so it'll be interesting to see how many guests will try to go easy on the drinking.
