G-LAND ... Swell pull back a little more again from yesterday, setting up a 3 day trend of decreasing size BUT something looks like it's on the way. A significant looking swell is forecasted to arrive tomorrow and eventhough I try not put too much feeling into these things...I AM real curious to see what this 10 foot @ 18 seconds from 202 degrees swell will materialize into. Should be BIG!!! Unfortunately we don't have big tides for it, but there still may be a short-lived session happening down the reef.
Kongs was the go today, probably getting a little overhead on the best sets. Good winds again and that's a beautiful thing. There were those short windows of time on the right tide that Inside Pad was breaking, even a few running through Money Trees. Real clean and quick.
Something that I just realized tonight at dinner was the fishing has been real productive. Plenty of sashimi for the past 4 or 5 nights. Between Daryl, Haks, and a few others either throwing their lines out or shooting their guns, plates of trevally have been real nice to eat off of. There are even 3 fish waiting out the night in the fridge for tomorrow. I even had the chance tonight on a big trevally, but I'm just not sharp with my reflexes yet. The other one that was hit weighed in at 26 pounds and this was the smaller of the two. Mark from South Africa claimed that one and it would have been nice for both of us to come back to shore with a fish...just not tonight though.
