G-LAND ... Lounge day for me today. We had a new group of surfers come in and with 50 in the camp now, a few more at the other camps too and the consistent swell coming through for the past handful of days...it just made sense.
The surf was really only happening up at Kongs for most of the day, getting up to about 8 foot on the face max. BUT...at around midday while I was lounging in the hammock out front, two real beautiful sets ran through Inside Lauching Pad and easily caught my interst in shorting up the rest day. But I knew it was just a lure and that more of those sets would probably not happen again. They were for those fortunate ones that happened to be there at the right time...the right place. But today, no one was gambling on it.
Just giving it some thought, we got guests from Switzerland, Germany, Guadelup Island, Reunion Island, Brasil, Japan, Australia, and United States. Pretty solid collection from around the planet, RIGHT?
And we had a heavy dump of rain for about an hour today. Actually, it was nice and refreshing!!!
