G-Land on April 24th 2010

G-Land backed off just a bit from yesterday's conditions, but we were given a nice present to console the dropping swell.  Winds stayed down for most of the day, but a nice little segment of offshore's blew from about 14:00 to 15:00.  Great to feel the wind on my back when I was sitting out front.  Should have been in the water, but it wasn't my time.  Only 1 hour of offshore, but pendulum swings have to swing past zero at some point. Maybe this was the point.  Most likely just a local event, but I'm staying FULL OF HOPE!

G-Land surf was 6-8 foot faces and coming in fairly consistently all day.  Kongs through Money Trees was working and plenty of smiling faces at the day's end.  And at the day's end...well...I'm just realizing that my HOPEFUL rational for the season switch is going to be contradicted....well, we got dumped on heavily once again.  The jungle is beautifully green.

I'm still hoping that the forces that may be will reorient the wind patterns soon enough.  Until then, I'll still be thinking about another mission to Reverse G!
