G-Land on April 22nd 2010

G-Land had some big waves today.  The Bommie was breaking pretty regularly and Money Trees was the best section to sit on.  10-16 foot faces with double-ups on the take-off really made it exciting.  Yesterday and today have been undoubtedly rejuvenating, clearing up any lingering thoughts of the recent pasts average conditions.

The wind came up at about 14:00 from the W and never really backed off.  I just came back from the beach 5 minutes ago (21:00)  and it's blowing pretty strong from the N.  So..... I am really thankful that I paddled out at around 10:00.  I followed the lead of 2 other guys, and we got some nice, long, walls for about 45 minutes before the others made it out.  No real barrels...just to paint an honest picture, but still some powerful one's.  It was lacking that last condition...the offshore wind...   My goodness!  There could have been some massive tunnels today.

G-Land
report for the day....
