G-Land on April 14th 2010

G-Land this morning, started off by continuing the beautiful conditions from yesterday.  In writing that, there's naturally going to be a "but."  But by 2:00, the onshore winds came on quick and strong.  I made the wrong decision to wait for an after lunch until dusk session.

Early morning until early afternoon was really clean.  I kept seeing one specific guy repeatedly getting tubes...not too long gone, but still in the right position.  Really glassy, 6-10 foot faces breaking along the entire reef.  But very inconsistent.  Regular 40-minute lulls throughout the better part of the day.  The forecast showed a fading swell and that's what we were getting.

G-Land forecast for the next few days looks like it has the potential to be really fun.  The wind seems to be the main factor that will determine the quality...but it almost always is.  No rain today!!!
